Arc is many things.
It is the growth of our very-own character along life's journey. It is the tip of a sharp blade with which we defend those we love. It is the tale of a Saint, Joan of Arc: defender of a nation, and the creator of Kings. Moreover, it is a tale of the power of a single soul to change the world.
There is a famous tale of a young Asian princess whose brothers desired to gain rule when, their father, the emperor's time came to end. To assess who was most worthy to gain the emperor's position, he brought the three children together and said he would give them each a year to travel outside the Kingdom and prove their merit. At the end of the year, both sons and the daughter knelt before their father, the emperor.
"Tell me of what you have done during these past twelve months my child," the emperor said to each. The first brother: "I have slain 2000 of your enemies and taken 300 hectares of land to increase your kingdom." The second Brother: "I have slain 5000 of your enemies and taken 800 hectares of land to increase your Kingdom." The only daughter: "I fear I have disappointed you father, for I travelled around the world following your life lessons, but I have killed no one, nor have I acquired more land for the Kingdom. I have in fact saved only one life, that of a child who had no protector."The emperor nodded at each of them.
“I knew each of your accomplishments before you came here. And because of this, when I die, my Kingdom will pass to my daughter.” "But why father," asked the two brothers, "when we have done so much?" "Because my sons," said the emperor, "I know something you do not know. My daughter only saved one life, that is true. But that child she saved will become the Buddha." And so, it is in our own life. The power of a single act can change the Arc of the world.
