You’re a dreamer; weaver, a believer and one who still
wishes upon stars. One who wonders about the mysteries
of the Universe & marvels at God’s creations.
You bloom because of the brightness of your mind,
and blossom beautifully because of the size of their heart.
Because of your confidence and conviction, you know how to rise
above and bloom beyond the gravitational pull of life.
You’re willing to take leaps of faith, shoot for the moon.
Because of your unique story and journey
you see life in a beautiful perspective, never taking a day for granite.
May you continue to uplift and guide others with your light.
Think celestial, because you are a divine child of the Universe.
Keep shining like a constellation of stars in the sky!
There is a term called the “Astronaut Effect.” It’s a cognitive shift and transformational
experience that astronauts think, feel and perceive about their life and the
world after seeing Earth from space. The term was coined by Frank White who felt a
sense of responsibility to take care of the planet after seeing this beautiful “blue marble”
from space. This notion promotes and inspires a greater appreciation for the fragility of
life, humanity's shared destiny, and the truth of who we are and where we are going. I
love the idea that such a unique experience, like being in space, can shift someone's
perspective so profoundly. Astronaut Neil Armstrong said he was never the same after
seeing our planet for the first time. How can we as human beings learn and adopt this
concept? Lindsey’s intention in creating these astronaut botanical paintings is to convey this
message, and to remind the viewer that we all have the ability to experience a new
spiritual awakening or revival, embrace a new paradigm shift in consciousness, or decide
to voyage toward transformational growth for our mind, body and spirit.
The color palette of the various florals consists of radiant violets, ultramarine
blues, with pops of saturated hues to create a wonderful balance of calm and radiant
energy. The silver moon can be seen as a reflective mirror for the viewer and a symbol of
Divine Light and Brilliance. Each gesture invites the viewer to step into space, to escape,
let go, and release any burden or weight that they’re carrying. For a moment we can
visually imagine and transform our thoughts to travel and float beneath the stars to
remind ourselves that the galaxy is glorious and that we’re all wonderfully loved & connected.
In the painting “Limitless Among Stars,” Lindsey was inspired by the lyrics in Coldplay’s song
“Sky full of Stars,” suggesting one is full of stars, stardust, and a heavenly view. The
astronaut in a way, can be seen as a blooming star, which is why she painted four different
constellations. When we look up into the night sky we can see the North Star, Polaris (The Big
Dipper), Orion (The Hunter), Cygnus (The Swan), and Cassiopeia (The Queen). In many ways
they are symbols and reminders: i.e. the North Star will always guide you home, Orion
asks us to be brave and align with our destiny, Cygnus reminds us of our beautiful true
nature and Divine worth, Cassiopeia warns us to stay humble and not boast with pride or
arrogance but to simply shine, live in gratitude and give all glory to the Creator of the
Universe. How will your light leave a mark? Be legendary, be limitless, bloom beyond,
and fulfill the measure of your creation.
