Deb Mack
Deb Mack’s journey into the art world was anything but conventional. She never envisioned herself as an artist, yet her journey through life led her down that path, anyway. through a series of unexpected turns—and inspired in part by her marriage to world-renowned artist Bill Mack—Deb found her own creative voice. Together, the couple has been immersed in the art world for over three decades and currently resides in Minneapolis..
Deb’s work explores the surreal, drawing inspiration from one of her greatest artistic influences: Salvador Dalí. Her sculptures, bold and imaginative, are rooted in the surrealist tradition while reflecting her own unique perspective. Her debut series, Love, Happiness, Hope – The Dove Suite, introduced collectors to her playful yet thought-provoking aesthetic. Though less directly influenced by Dalí, the suite shares his spirit of the unexpected. Dalí’s iconic Celestial Elephant directly inspired two of Deb’s standout pieces—Dalinian Dog, modeled after her cherished Chinese Crested, Marley, and Space Poodle, both of which incorporate the elongated forms and stilt-like structures characteristic of Dalí’s surreal worlds. Another work, Surheel, continues this visual language, bridging dream and sculpture.
Her latest masterpiece piece, Melting Purse, is a clear homage to The Persistence of Memory, echoing Dalí’s fusion of soft and hard forms and reimagining his famous melting clock in a contemporary, fashion-forward context. Since her sculptural debut in early 2019, Deb Mack has received widespread acclaim from collectors and gallery owners alike. Her works have been celebrated as some of the most original and imaginative three-dimensional artworks to emerge in recent years..
