Lindsey Erin
Breathe, Bloom, Become
Born in Ogden, Utah, Lindsey Erin’s love for art began at a young age. Her design and painting process is meditative and done with pure intention. Her work is centered around the notion that we all have a story to tell and representations that convey mindset growth and our divine nature. She feels she’s on an artistic journey and mission to uplift, inspire, and bring awareness to the importance of positive thinking as well as mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Lindsey Erin’s artwork encourages the viewer to reflect upon our own amazing individual story, journey, growth, and potential. Through the botanicals and vibrant color in her paintings, she invests inspirational and healing tool for our minds, bodies, and spirits.
In her youth, Lindsey had classical ballet training which fueled her appreciation for beauty and led her to exploration and discovery of deep passion for drawing, painting, and sculpting. She soon excelled in art competitions across the state and was accepted to the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach, where she studied fine art and graphic design for three years. Lindsey then completed a BFA in Art History and the University of Utah and established herself as both an artist and graphic designer. She is known for her creative, authentic style and masterful use of color.
Lindsey Erin’s understanding and knowledge from her Art History degree is prevalent in her artwork. She attributes much of her conceptualization and unique symbolism to the Dutch masters and the Renaissance and Baroque art, as well as a lifelong fascination with Picasso. She strives to tell a story; to create artwork that will uplift, inspire, and fulfill a narrative for the viewer. Lindsey Erin is known for her series “We All Have a Journey,” “Botanical Stores,” and “We All Have a Totem.” All her series are unique and highly collected throughout the world.
Nature is Linsey Erin’s biggest muse: whether it’s silhouetted trees capes upon a lake, a majestic mountain top, or the beautiful blossoms of summer flowers. She seeks to incorporate these divine creations into her artwork, as representations of our own divine nature, potential and beauty. The billowing, floral headdresses in her work are symbolic of abundance, growth, and limitless mindset in addition to our individual worth.
Lindsey Erin’s compositions serve as a metaphor to evoke another realm—one of simple architecture that reflects the organic and mathematical order and sequence of nature and urban space. Substituting structure for color or light is a chief concern in her designs, as her creative palette and unique color combinations strive to harmonize the human spirit.
When Lindsey is not creating art, she is likely to be found exploring the world with her husband—also an artist—hiking, writing and singing her songs, playing the guitar, or visiting museums, which she proclaims to be “dessert for the soul.”
