Michael Rozenvain
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, in 1963, Michael Rozenvain studied in the Art School of Kiev and pursued further education at the Academy of Applied Arts in Lvov, then immigrated to Israel in 1990. During his studies, he met his wife, the artist, Aleksandra Savina, whose two children, Miri and Barak, also known as 2Wild, are also artists. Since 2006, he has lived and worked in Toronto, Canada.
With his family, Michael Rozenvain travels around the world, discovering inspiration wherever he goes and transfers his favorite nature scenes and cityscapes to stainless steel canvas where the viewer can appreciate a myriad of techniques used to bring his marvelous art alive. With bright oil paints, grinders, careful palette knife strokes, and epoxy resin, Michael Rozenvain creates highly detailed and perfectly unique artwork for us to enjoy.
Michael Rozenvain’s favorite themes are the Mediterranean, cobblestone streets, French bistros, caves, and orchestras. The rich, sultry colors and layers upon layers of paint pulls the viewer into a highly textured painting for spectacular natural and rustic views which imitate the life that is all around us.
The sense of composition Michael Rozenvain has, along with his nimble palette knife and brush strokes, invoke distinguishing elements that bring his art to life in unique and vibrant ways.
Michael Rozenvain has participated in many collective and solo exhibitions after his education and immigration to Israel. He is active in creating fresco paintings and monumental works for prestigious hotels, and libraries.
